U.F.October 2014 - Let's Finish the Unfinished

U.F.October Button 2014
After reviewing the ever growing pile of unfinished objects (UFO's) in my craft room, I have come to the firm conclusion that it is time to actually finish something. I really want to be organised in the new year and I know that November and December are always full of last minute gift making panic carefully organised and structured crafting activities. Besides, doesn't U.F.October have a nice ring to it?

How does it work?
It's really quite simple. We use October as the month for tackling those lurking UFO's. You know the ones I mean. They mock us with their constant presence and cause no small amount of guilt every time we start cutting into our next project.

Maybe it's a quilt that needs binding, or a dress that needs hemming. Perhaps it's something more sinister and you need to do some reverse sewing before moving forward? Whatever your case, we use U.F.October to motivate each other to finish the unfinished...and no doubt provide inspiration for new projects, making our current ones UFO's and thus perpetuating the never ending cycle that it is life as a crafter.

You can complete as few or as many projects as you like and they can relate to any craft. In fact, they don't even need to be crafty. Perhaps you have some home renovations, or a cupboard you never quite finished straightening up. The idea is just for us all to motivate each other into finally checking off that to do list.

Whatever you choose, use the hasthag #UFOctober2014 to share your progress on Facebook and Instagram and we can cheer each other on.

You can also discuss your projects in our Facebook group the Fantastic Quiltastic Adventure.

Who will be joining me in finally finishing off those UFO's? Comment below with the projects you'd love to tackle.
