Sew Sweet Simplicity Free Block of the Month

During one of my usual Instagram stalking sessions, I came across this fantastic looking Block of the Month (BOM). For those of you unfamiliar with a BOM, each month you receive a pattern for a block that will make up a complete quilt. It's a fantastic way to gradually piece together a quilt and learn new skills, without becoming overwhelmed with information.

The blocks are gorgeous and we are assured they look more complicated than they really are. My favourite thing about quilting!

I love that it's a bit of a 'choose your own adventure' with piecing, applique or hand embroidery. The little learner in me is keen to see if I can try all three techniques. What a great learning experience that will be!

      Hooray!!! I love BOM's. They keep me motivated to actually finish a quilt hahaha

    Okay I've signed up but it looks way more complicated than I'm used to! Guess there is no better way to push myself and extend my skills!

      That's the attitude!!! I find, if you follow the instructions and ask questions when needed, you're always capable of a lot more than you first think ;)

    Thanks for mentioning the BOM! I think it's going to be a lot of fun. We are also going to have blog hops with prizes and more... I can't wait for it to get started at the end of October :)

    I've signed up and if the first BOM went out I didn't receive it. My email hasn't been receiving for several days. I've tech support working on it stat!

      Oh no. I hope you have it sorted soon.
      Good new though. I don't think the BOM starts until towards the end of the month so you haven't missed anything yet :D
